Club Championship Tournament

A LONG-STANDING TRADITION

In It To Win It

We welcome all of our members to challenge your golf skills through friendly competition. Our annual Oceana Golf Club Championship consists of three flights: a Championship Flight, Handicap Flight, and Senior Flight. The game is played by the holes in Match Play.

Event Details

This members-only event will compete in three flights. The Championship Flight played from the Blue Tee Markers with no handicap involved, the Handicap Flight is played from the White Tee Markers with handicaps playing off the lower of the two handicaps, and the Senior Flight is played from the Gold Tee Markers with handicaps playing off the lower of the two handicaps. It is Match Play, and the game is played by holes. A hole is won by the side which holes its ball in the fewest amount of strokes. The reckoning of holes is kept by the terms: so many “holes up,” or “all square,” and so many to play.
